In a world where the boundaries between systems seem increasingly impenetrable, we find ourselves trapped in an endless present, stretching forward without event or resolution. The figure of the "last man" emerges, embodying a paradoxical state of abandonment, both witness and victim of an impending doom. The absence of progress becomes its own catastrophe, where the continuity of time itself grows unbearable. This tension manifests in the internal struggle of individuals, haunted by the echoes of past totalitarian images and locked in a cycle of reenactment without purpose. A way out could lie in the acceptance and contemplation of the actual state. But if this is conducted too radically, there is also a violence in it that cannot allow tomorrow to unfold as apromise and yesterday as a memory.
